Good Day, Marvel Day, Congressional Money Problems

Hi there everybody, hope your day is great.  The weather here is turning around and it is a little warmer.  The high for today is 46 degrees and tomorrow is going to be warmer at a high of 60, plus I get to see the sun, which helps out most peoples moods.  It certainly helps mine out, I was pretty depressed the last few days but am much better now.  The bad thing is, this is Missouri and the weather is going to change soon.  The temps over the next 8 days are; 60, 59, 54, 46, 35,50,55, 30, 28.  That is typical for winter in Missouri, up and downs are a good way to get people sick.  Those cooler days they are calling for snow also, that could and probably will change by this evening.  We are used to these insane weather changes.  Back to my day, I did go to the gym and had a hard workout for about an hour, I also tried something new by getting in the tanning bed.  It was my first time tanning but I did not stay too long since I did not want to end up too crispy.  It was not a bad experience, will do again.  I now have a Facebook page and group set up for my blog as Steven in a Chair.  Check it out, I will be updating it more soon.

Marvel Day!  What to talk about?  As you probably already know, Brie Larson who was in Kong: Skull Island, is going to be our Captain Marvel for the Marvel movies.  I think this was a very spot on casting choice, I think she is a good actress and she has the right look for the character.  At present she is getting ready, doing her homework for the role and it is really awesome stuff, I will link the video of this after.  Her character in the movie is a woman named Carol Danvers who is an Air Force pilot, so to prepare for the role Larson is training with the Air Force to at least appear competant as a member of the Air Force.  I think it is really cool and love looking at the videos or images of this because that is someone who takes serious pride in their work.  Plus I think it will make things more believable for the role.  It is a short Youtube video from someone I am subscribed to, here it is; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wep3LXKlKAo.  Now I would like to talk about something else Marvel real quick, the proposed Black Widow movie.  I am totally on board with this and think there are many things to pull from in the comics, Black Widow has been around since 1963, and in the recent movies, like where she refers to something happening in Budapest.  I love spy movies and think a Black Widow spy movie would be great and it would help that character grow.  I guess we will see what happens, I am expecting an announcement at San Diego Comic Con this summer.

I have done this before but I wanted to do it again, I am tired of the drama that comes out of the Congress in the United States of America.  One thing that I think it something that needs to be addressed more is the pay these people receive for supposedly serving the American people.  We should demand more from our elected representatives, whether we voted for them or not, because no matter who you are we have given a lot to this country and its processes.  I think it is completely stupid of politicians when they draw the line at $250,000 as a line between middle and upper class. Most of these politicians do not know what it is like to be the man living the poverty line because quite a few of them came from wealthier homes and a lot have never had a job where they had to live paycheck to paycheck, if they had a job at all. There is too much of a line between the halves and have nots in this country. I am not a socialist that thinks we need to 'spread the wealth around'. For people that are wealthier, good for them, most of them worked hard at making themselves comfortable, as always there are some that didn't get that way honestly. There is actually a representative from Virginia that says $174,000 yearly salary is not enough to live on, $174,000 is the amount congress people make yearly. I would not know what to do with a quarter of that amount a year. I would love to see one of them make it on what the median household income of Americans, which is about $53,657, according to census data for 2016. So I believe that the members of Congress are way overpaid, I think they shouldn't even get paid half of what they make now, I certainly do not think they should be able to get a pension for being a member of Congress. It is not a job or work or a career, it is supposed to be civil service. That is the way it was before members of Congress got around to paying themselves absurd amounts of money and voting themselves raises. Maybe they should get paid according to how their approval ratings are, maybe then they will do some actual work for the American people, like they are supposed to. I could write a whole lot more on this topic but I should probably stop or my blood pressure will get to high.

Well, that is all for me tonight. I really hope you all have a great day or night, take care!
