Not a Bad Day, International Womens Day, Local Stuff, Fat Guy Meeting

Hey there, hope you all are having a great Thursday.  Mine has not been that bad, I did get out today and made it to the gym but had to cut it short again because of my shoulder.  I tried to focus on things that did not hurt my shoulder but it still got a little hurt.  I only did one Uber drive today and it was a little bad.  When I first got the buzz of a ride, I went to the address it gave me and then the woman called and said she was at a different spot, so I had to go pick her up and go back to the original spot but at least I was compensated for going to the wrong place.  I did see something sorta funny though, it was a truck that had a sticker on its side that read, "Gator Escorting, LLC".  I thought that was funny but was surprised when it said "Bunceton, MO. underneath it.  I did not think we had gator problems in this state.  I know you can own a gator in Missouri but we do not have any here, at least natively.  So that gave me a little laugh.  Now, onto to the other stuff.

First off, today is International Womens Day!  I want to say thank you to all the women that do read this and I hope you had a great Thursday!

Its a local day today and I would like to talk a little bit about the rezoning that is being planned on a route that is close to where I live.  I am all for it, some of the land was originally zoned a long time ago as agricultural land and I think it should be changed since there is nothing agricultural going on in this area.  Maybe it will bring other businesses to town, that always helps out the unemployment rate.  That is all I have to say about that, let me talk about something else local.

Vox Magazine, a local magazine, came out with an article about National Unplugging Day which is the second Friday of March.  I never knew this and I try to stay up on some of the more strange holidays.  But anyway, I think the idea of us unplugging for a whole day is not as real as you would think.  Nowadays, we do most everything with our screens, be it television, cell phones or computers, so I don't know how many people really follow this holiday.  I am sure there are a good number of people but not that many.  If you think about how many things you use that are plugged in during the day, you might not be able to do that.  Plus you have to think about people that need their medical devices plugged in, there are quite a lot of people that use medical devices like that.  So, in all, I might go an hour or so without using anything that is plugged in but I am not going to go a whole day without using anything that is plugged in.

That little fat guy in North Korea has invited President Trump to meet and from what I have read is that he said, ok.  It has been reported that they will meet sometime in May to talk about simmering the nuclear issue.  In my opinion, we cannot allow the North to have the power of splitting an atom against any country that it can see as an enemy.  So it will be interesting to see what happens, since this is so unprecedented.  I cannot really see any other president, besides maybe President Obama, doing this.  Maybe it will bring the north and south closer together, at least.  Here is an article about this, enjoy; https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia_pacific/north-korean-leader-kim-jong-un-has-invited-president-trump-to-a-meeting/2018/03/08/021cb070-2322-11e8-badd-7c9f29a55815_story.html?utm_term=.5b9d796115ee

Well, that is all for me today.  I hope you all have a wonderful night or day, take care!
