Alright Day, It Ruined Everything, Don't Say These Words

Hey there everyone, I hope your day is great!  My day hasn't been too bad, didn't get everything done I wanted to but that's alright.  I needed to get my drivers license renewed today, for some reason they have you do that on your birthday.  I made it to the DMV but I forgot a few things, I forgot them at home and then when I got back home I couldn't find the card to see what exactly I needed to bring so I will go get that done tomorrow.  I'm sure they aren't going to send the SWAT team out to lock me up for not getting my license renewed on the correct day.  Ok, first thing this morning when I woke up I downloaded the Disney+ app on Roku and signed up for service.  I watched the first episode of The Mandalorian and it was really good, especially that ending.  I will not spoil if you are waiting to see it but it is something huge that has big ramifications on the whole of the Star Wars universe.  It looks like it will look into a beloved character that we have been wondering about for some time now.  I cannot wait until the next episode on Friday.  Like I've said before, I really like that these Disney+ shows will work on a week-by-week instead of all at once.  So that way we don't have to binge watch things and can get them to where they really build the tensions from episode to episode.  But at least Friday isn't that far away.  So anyway, let me go on and get to it!

History Day!  This is easily something I could have saved for a Friday post for Alternate History but I wanted to put it here and I have a great video to add at the end.  There was one presidential election that happened a little over a hundred years ago that literally changed everything from that point.  Meaning that if that one election went one way or the other then many things, if not everything, would have changed.  Some would say that it is the current president in Donald Trump but I think the most decisive president that has ever served was the 28th president, Woodrow Wilson.  Wilson only won that election because it was split three ways, ok four ways but the Socialist Party didn't really win anything.  It was between the democrats, the republicans and Roosevelts Bull Moose Party.  Whether you agree with his politics or not you have to admit that he was very influential in many aspects of American policy.  There isn't enough space here for me to talk about this in it's entirety but luckily the video covers everything that I will not, I could write a whole paper on the guy.  President Wilson was a progressive politician who would be called "Left Wing" by today's standards.  Now Wilson was a two term president and for his second run he promised to keep America out of WWI in Europe, as it was seen as a purely European fight and we didn't have business sticking our fingers in.  But Germany forced our hands by doing a few select things that pushed us into the war, the biggest was probably the Zimmerman telegram.  Also, towards the end of his second term he had a stroke and was unable to complete his duties as commander in chief and his vice should have taken over but he didn't really let Congress know so his wife pretty much took over most things and somehow this was alright.  He had the same vice throughout his two terms and I cannot think that this caused some real problems.  So when people say that we need a female president I tell them we already had one for almost 2 years over 100 years ago but she wasn't ever elected.  Unfortunately, Woodrow Wilson was a historian, makes us look bad, even us amateur historians.  Well, here is that video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLiI6kXZkZI

San Francisco, you know, that city with poop and needles everywhere is now going to make it legal for public urination calling it a "quality of life crime".  Those people in that city are getting crazier by the second.  Just a week ago or so I head another story about that city where you can't say certain words or you will get a fine or something serious.  They want everyone to use what's called "people first language".  Instead of using the word felon or offender they would you rather use something like formerly incarcerated person.  It's also bad at Berkeley, you know, that really leftist college in california but they don't want you using certain words that identify you by gender so like manhole instead using maintenance hole.  I am not politically correct to live out there and they can stay in that state.  Here is the video about the "quality of life crimes"; https://www.yahoo.com/news/san-franciscos-newly-elected-da-200835920.html and here is an article about the words you cannot use in the state; latimes.com/california/story/2019-08-22/words-like-convict-and-felon-would-be-out-in-new-san-francisco-criminal-justice-language-proposal

Well, that's all for me tonight.  I really hope that all of you have a great night or day, take care!
