Good Day, Crazy Laws, Little MCU Stuff, Bad Officer, More Free Thoughts
Hey there, hope your day is going great! My day is was good, didn't do much exciting. I did get to see my Godson today and took him to school, that's always fun to see him. We have started spelling different words and he can spell some by himself like his name and his brothers name. Plus we have done a little bit of addition, figured the sooner you do that stuff then the better it will be for them to learn later on. Didn't make it to the gym today, letting my muscles rest a little. Still sleeping in really late and it makes me feel like part of the day has passed me by. Hopefully that gets changed soon. Time to get to it!
Going to talk about some strange laws that are out there in the world. Now if you look at weird laws in America you can make a whole list about those but I want to put one or two world ones in. So these are some that I remember from my trivia days. In Texas it is illegal to shoot a buffalo out of a second story window. Nothing about any other window, just a second story one. It would be more fun to find out why they instituted this law in the first place. In Iowa, it is illegal for a single man to own sheep. Not going to expand on this one, I am sure you can figure it out. One of my favorite ones, in China it is illegal for you to be reincarnated without permission. So I guess before you die you need to go to the government and ask them if you can be reincarnated. Not really sure that is how this works, not sure since I am not a Buddhist or any other religion that believes in reincarnation. It seems, by the passing of this law, that Cambodia has not fully gotten over their past as it is unlawful to use a water pistol in the country. In 2002 the Vice-Governor said that they cannot be used sine Cambodia is a peaceful country and this I guess would make them look bad. Pol Pot really did hurt the future of that country. So these are just some of my favorite strange laws from around the world, enjoy. A little MCU news, Deadpool is staying put, lies everywhere. Disney people have come out and said that the only person not being retconned from the Fox X-Men movies and the like is Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. I figured this would be the case but I do like the actors playing Magneto and Professor X, Michael Fasbender and James McAvoy. Otherwise I do think this is the right way to go, at least until Marvel wants to do something with Old Man Logan. Everybody is lying! It has come out that the directors said there are a few lies in the early trailers. Makes us all think, what could be a lie and what is real. The University of Missouri has fired a police officer for wearing blackface. The article doesn't specify this but I assume he went to a Halloween party dressed as a black performer and that picture made it onto social media sites. It was of course shared around the internet, he was not trying to hide it at all. So this guy wanted to dress up as a famous black man for Halloween and wore blackface. There are a few ways to look at this but of course the only thing people thought was racism, because that seems to be our fall-back term any time someone does something you are not comfortable or OK with. From what the article said, he did not even get a chance to speak or tell his side of the story and I think that is wrong. If you are going to a costume party dressed as someone from another race what are you supposed to do? If he would have went with everything Flava Flav wears without the black facepaint then he would be unreconizable and he would have been called racist for acting like that. I just don't know where it stops anymore. As white people should we just not like black performers, wouldn't that just make us racist also. A lot of questions here that I do not have any answers for or even the right questions for. As I have stated before, I am much more conservative than liberal, politically speaking of course. I do not say that I am with one party over the other but as you probably have noticed from my writings I side with republicans over the democrats more often than not. The democrats are unfortunately moving further to the left, pretty much to socialism and I think that will be their undoing. I do not think that the democrats have really thought this out very well and have just been blindsided by these new and young people that have come into the party. If they do not get that back and soon then they can kiss the 2020 presidential election goodbye. I just don't think enough of the people in this country side with the socialist, at least not as much as the democrats think. The republicans are also guilty of certain ills, probably the biggest thing going against them is that they do not stand up for themselves enough and usually as of late side with the democrats, even when they had control over both houses of Congress. The biggest case of this is saying they will repeal and replace Obamacare. This made people not trust republicans anymore and when you lose that trust you lose those votes. The people that always vote for republican for whatever reason are now just not going to vote, which can be just as bad. I think it is prime time for another political party to come to the fore front and I would not be against two to replace what we have now. I do like the libertarian platform and hopefully they can gain some notoriety soon.
