Another Boring Day, Surprise Character Show Up, Start It Up, Double Standards
Hey there everyone, hope your Monday is going great! Well today was another Monday, that's for sure and I didn't do much, like normal nowadays I guess. It was a lot cooler here today, think the high just got up to a little over 40 but the sun was out and it looked nice. Oh well, not much we can do about the weather except try to stay out of it. Sucks since it was over 90 last Thursday. Enough about that, time to get into it!
Star Wars Day! I'm sure by now most of you Star Wars fans have heard the news about the Obi Wan-Kenobi show, is it delayed or what. It's not delayed but being re-written at this time and will begin production as soon as this virus crap is over with. I'm pretty pumped for it but dissapointed that they are trimming it down to only four episodes. I'll be alright with that as long as there is more than one season of the show. A polarizing figure in Star Wars lore, Jar Jar Binks, the actor who played the character Ahmed Best is saying that so far there isn't any plan for Binks to come back. It would be more of a tragic case for Jar Jar and I think could have some merit in being explored. I think by doing a tragic storyline for Jar Jar would help fans appreciate the character more. I had no problem with the character, a lot of Star Wars fans are very divided on him. Lets bring him in for a small role and see what happens. Everyone really needs to just take a step back to look at this correctly, make sure we are getting the data right on this outbreak. The article I just pulled up says that there is now over 21,000 deaths from COVID-19 in America and I say that the numbers are not correct. As I have stated before the people in charge of this want to say that someone who is in the hospital with symptoms of COVID-19 and die of any cause will be counted to the rolls of the deaths of the outbreak, that is wrong. It takes medical examiners at least a week to determine a final cause of death, they are putting numbers out multiple times a day and that's not right. Anyway, what I wanted to talk about here was the reopening of the economy and how it should be handled. President Trump is taking this weekend to think about when and how to open things back up and some early reports are that he wants to do this as early as next month. Ideally next month would be great to open back up some of the economy but not all. I agree that we need to have a better handle medically on what we are dealing with and stop looking at models that go out in the future and look at data from right now in this country. Mass testing has to happen first, especially anti-body tests cause that will show those who are immune to this virus and can safely return to work. So start getting the tests out now. One thing from this that is not tenable is that we have already lost 20 some million jobs, that many and more people are out of work. The government cannot go on without any tax income coming in so we have to do something. Hopefully everything will be done in the right way. Double standards suck and there is one that is just starting out against Joe Biden. He has been accused of sexual assault by a former aide named Tara Reade. It will be interesting how this will all play out, will other democrats tear him apart like they did Kavanaugh or any other republican accused of the same things. Also, will Hillary Clinton believe it or not, knowing how she doesn't like to believe women accusing someone she knows, even though she has said that any female coming forward with those accusations should be heard and believed. It will be intersting how this is played out, will it be buried on the last page of the New York Times or other papers or will this bury Biden, guess we will see.
