Decent Day, History of Oil, Disgraced Lawyer, Rasputin of Politics

Hey guys, I hope you all are doing great today!  My day was alright but I think I had some bad chicken at lunch from Popeyes.  It happens from time to time to me and it usually isn't too serious or anything, as I have said before, I have been through much worse.  Food poisoning can't keep me down.  I called my primary docs office and they got me in a few hours later.  It was because I don't think that angular stomatitis is healing like it should be.  It is cracking up a lot and hurts when I open my mouth very wide like to take a bite of a sandwich.  So hopefully this helps out.  So anyway, let me go on and get to it!

History Day!  So today I want to talk a little about the history of oil, not the kind you cook with but the kind that runs almost every aspect of life.  The use of petroleum to be used commercially started in America, the first bit of oil was discovered in Titusville in Pennsylvania.  Even though it was first discovered by an American for the more modern use it was also discovered by the Chinese, who discovered a lot of things before the west, in around 600 B.C. and was even transported by way of pipelines made of bamboo.  The men who discovered it in America in the late 1850's were George Bissell and Edwin Drake.  For the rest of the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century the United States was the biggest oil producing country in the world.  That is the main reason why Japan attacked the U.S. during Pearl Harbor because they were wanting to be able to get to more oil to run their war machine while fighting in China.  At this point in history, 1940's, not many other countries had or knew that they had oil sitting below the ground yet.  The Dutch had discovered oil in the East Indies around 1907 and before that the British had discovered oil off their shores.  Also in 1907 oil was discovered in Iran by a British man and an Iranian Shah to create the Anglo-Persian Oil Company.  The country of Britain had purchased 51 percent of the company to ensure that there was enough oil for their ships during WWI.  The 1930's seen oil being discovered in Middle East countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.  OPEC, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, was set up in the 1960's to set controls over how much oil was to be put out there on the market and the price thereof.  Now we are in a new era of oil seeing as how the United States is coming back as an oil producing country, instead of an oil consuming country.  This changes a lot and will help America become more energy independent.  That is a good thing because we shouldn't be depending on oil from other less friendly countries.  Here is a webpage about the history of oil, enjoy; https://www.ektinteractive.com/history-of-oil/

Michael Cohen, the disgraced former President Trump lawyer, is doing whatever he can to help save himself while in prison.  Spilling the dirt on everybody he can think of.  Jerry Falwell Jr. who is the president of Liberty University and son of Jerry Falwell Sr., had asked Cohen to take care of some racy, personal photos before announcing his support behind Donald Trump when he was running for president.  Jerry Jr.'s father was a controversial figure being a televangelist, as most televangelists are anyway.  The article doesn't go into maybe why Cohen would come out now to tell of these photographs from Jerry Falwell Jr. but I think it was to help lessen his time in prison.  From earlier reports he was being sent to a "very nice prison", whatever that entails.  Here is an article on this; https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-politics-falwell-exclusive/exclusive-trump-fixer-cohen-says-he-helped-falwell-handle-racy-photos-idUSKCN1SD2JG

The Rasputin of politics, that is a good description of Joe Biden, voiced by billionaire Jeffrey Gundlach.  I think that is a very good description of Biden, he just seems to stay around even when people do not want him around.  Especially women do not want him around.  This rich man was very vocal about the 2020 presidential nominees, especially on the democratic side.  He says that, even though some of the candidates are in the 1 percent, they don't want to admit it because they think it will make them look bad.  I think they are just getting some bad advice.  To run for president you have to think very highly of yourself and you don't want to do anything that might look bad to the people that may vote for you.  Unfortunately the people who are running for president need to think more about what the American people want, not what they want.  But they are so self absorbed that they cannot think of anything else.  For me that is why there doesn't appear to be a good choice this time again.  Here is a good article about what that billionaire said and another about the people attacking Biden to bring him down; https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/jeffrey-gundlach-rips-democratic-hopefuls-135946711.htmlhttps://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/442378-liberals-attack-biden-seeking-to-blunt-his-momentum

Well, that's it for me tonight.  I hope all of you have a wonderful day or night, take care!
