Up and Down Weather, Top 10 Generals, City in Crisis, Don't Think They Will Ever Learn, Another City in Crisis

 Hey everyone, I hope your Tuesday is going great!  My day was alright, got the boys for a little while and my dad stopped by, that's always good.  Had a good workout before I picked the boys up and that helped start my day off right, going to try and do that more often, going to work out early before I pick the boys up.  Not sure how that'll work because I've actually been sleeping in a little lately, not waking up until around 7:30 to almost 8 the last few days.  My body goes on these weird cycles for sleep and I'm sorta used to it by now.  Looks like the weather is going to start getting up in the almost 90's for a week or so, we had a few weeks of pretty good weather.  During those two weeks the humidity was actually pretty low, that's good.  We had weather like that about three years ago where it stayed cool throughout August, maybe that's what is happening now.  We'll see.  So let me get into it!

History Day!  Had a talk about this with a friend on who the greatest generals in history were, at least in our opinion since that sort of thing isn't definite.  We decided that instead of coming up with generals off the top of our heads that we actually make a top 10 list, so for this one I will not be adding anything at the end.  We both picked very similair generals, maybe a little different order but out number one was the same, how could it be anyone else.  If you think there is someone else that deserves the top spot then let me know and we can discuss.  Here they are;

10.   Attila the Hun, mostly because he gave the Romans so much trouble.

9.    Hannibal Barca, a man that can take elephants across the Alps is good enough for this list.

8.    George S. Patton, one of the best during WWII for our side.

7.    Georgy Zhukov, head man for the Soviet Union during WWII and beat Hitler every step of the way.

6.    Ulysses S. Grant, the man who won the American Civil War.

5.    Julius Caesar, the man that made Rome an empire.

4.    Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington that beat Napoleon finally.

3.    Subatai, Genghis Khan's dog of war.

2.    Alexander the Great, conquered the greatest empire the world had ever seen at that time.

1.    Napoleon, the man who almost conquered all of Europe.

That's my list, let me know what you think.  Also, I think it's high time these guys got a movie made about their lives, even though a few already have a movie I think we need a newer movie.

I really do feel bad for the good people of Seattle, I think this is a sign that you need to get out of that city.  If you want a new place to go then you can always come here.  But anyway, the police chief, Carmen Best, has decided to retire come early next month because the city is going to cut a bunch of money from the police department and let a lot of good cops go.  I don't blame her for wanting to do this because of the way she and police everywhere have been treated recently.  I just hope she does not get a bunch of flak for doing this, she isn't quitting the city is quitting on the police.  If she is wanting another job in law enforcement then Columbia Missouri would welcome her with open arms, at least I think they would.  Can't talk for everyone involved.  In my opinion, the mayor in Seattle is worthless but they will keep voting her in since she is a communist.  Anyway, here is an article; https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/11/us/seattle-police-chief-budget-cut-4-million/index.html

Russia will just never really learn will they.  Putin came out today to say to the world that Russian scientist have concocted a vaccine for Covid-19.  But of course with this being Russia, certain safeguards were thrown out the window just so they could claim to be the fist one.  If it is proven to be effective then I'm sorry and good job to them, but on the other hand it could be very dangerous because it was not tested in the correct way.  Putin said that he already gave a shot to his daughter, but he doesn't really like her that much so I'm sure it was more to see what would happen kind of deal there.  I'm thinking there is a very small chance of it being effective but you never know.  Guess we will watch the news on this, there could be mutant people running around, and not the cool kind of mutants like the X-Men.  Here is an article on it; https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/russia-unveils-coronavirus-vaccine-claiming-victory-in-global-race-before-final-testing-is-complete/2020/08/11/792f8a54-d813-11ea-a788-2ce86ce81129_story.html

Like Seattle here is another failed city, Chicago, which is sad since Chicago is supposed to be the second city in this country.  The mayor, Lori Lightfoot, is just as big of an idiot as the Seattle mayor, so I guess they at least have something in common, oh and they are both communists.  The article I will add leaves out a few things but most everything else is on point.  They talk about a police shooting on the south side and a social media post going out after it happens to try to stir up the rioters.  In that post they falsely say that the police shot and injured a young child, this did not happen but it got everyone of the rioters riled up to go loot stores.  The article is about the mayor, the commie, getting upset with a reporter asking if the rioters are emboldened by the lack of consequences that the rioters got the first time around in the last few months.  She keeps saying that this is a serious situation and basically doesn't even answer the question, it's a very fair question but never gets an answer.  Chicago is like a few other larger cities in that they don't make criminals pay bail to get out of jail, by not doing this it certainly does embolden those wanting to do those same actions.  Chicago police superintendent says that those cases from the last few months were just not prosecuted right, which I think is a cop out answer.  President Trump is serious about taking over the city of Chicago if they cannot get a handle on things, he just may have to do that.  Here is that article; https://www.foxnews.com/us/chicago-mayor-lightfoot-reporter-rioters-encouraged-consequences

Well, that's it for me tonight.  I really hope all of you have a great night or day, take care and stay safe!
