Alright Day, Good Scenario, No NATO, Something to Get Mad About, Who's Running
Hey there everyone, I hope the end to your week is great! My day was pretty good, just running around and paying bills, that fun time of the month. I did make it to the gym today and decided to go to the newer gym on the south side of town. I didn't seem to stay as long there but I had some other things to do today, I'll make it up tomorrow. Glad the gym won't be closed down now until Easter, hopefully it's nice enough to do some stuff outside. Didn't do much else today, pretty boring for me but that's life. Of course I've never been more bored than when I was paralyzed and all I could do was stare at the ceiling tile and make shapes out of the holes in it, now that's being bored. So anyway, let me go on and get to it!
Alternate History Day! I just read a really good short alternate history that I think could be made into a book, if not more. It is titled "The War of the Three Presidents" and stars President John Adams(the first one), Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. I will give a short overview and then add it so you can check it out and let me know what you think. It takes place on the day that Jefferson is to take the pledge to become president but that is not to happen as President Adams calls for the arrest of Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson gets the news before anyone gets there to arrest him and he flees south and declares himself to be the President of the United States of America. Basically this is a self-coup by President Adams as he goes about centralizing all the powers unto himself and even creating a standing army and a draft system and calling for Congress to go home and not come back into office as he has everything under control. This does almost seem like something that could happen and would only have happened in the young nation, not something that could happen today. If a president tried to do this nowadays there would be a civil war, probably. Especially seeing as how our political climate is now in this country. This is a good video about what life would be like if the United States of America left NATO. As you probably already know, President Trump doesn't think we need to be in NATO anyway, that's it is just a drag for us in a lot of ways. So many of the member countries do not even do what they set out to which is spend at least 2% of GDP towards their military. Some countries just recently started doing that as to were the U.S.A. has been doing that every year since inception. This video shows how inept the other countries would be without America to hold their hands. I think we should get out of the U.N. and kick them out of New York. The democrats got together and decided they needed to be mad about something different today so they got upset with the president over killing that Iranian general, I'm not going to say his name and only refer to him as a terrorist. Now there are people on the left that are actually defending the guy and saying that the president never should have done that because it made the rulers in Iran sad, first off nobody should be sad for this piece of crap dying because he was responsible for American men and women getting injured or killed during the first Gulf War and second he was just a terrorist and deserves no sympathy at all. I'm glad the president did this, I'll tell you who else is happy about this, every person in Israel and probably the Saudi's. Saudi Arabia hates Iran just as much. It seems that Iran wants to do something to get back at us for this but not exactly sure what the will do. If they want to go to total war then we can do that, the Pentagon is sending over around 3,000 more troops to Baghdad to help out. This is in no way an act of war by us towards Iran, it was a tit for tat message you send when they killed one of ours first off and then Iran helped get together the people to riot at the U.S. Embassy. If you didn't know who was running for president this year or just forgot who all there was, here is an article with a lot of names attached to it. I am pretty sure some of these people have already dropped out of the race but they are on the list anyway. Maybe those that dropped out are still doing some work because they all have one thing in common, their hatred for Presdient Donald J. Trump.
