Good Day, New Group in the MCU, Expensive Medical Stuff, Lost Luggage Almost Costs Team
Hey there all, hope your hump day is great! I've had a good day today but still didn't get ahold of that lady about my dental coverage. Once I get that done it is one step closer to getting some dentures or at least some dental fixing. I was supposed to see the oral surgeon today but had to reschedule since I haven't finished everything with my insurance. Hopefully get that done in the next day or two so I can get this all started. Because paying out of pocket for dental stuff is way too much, can't believe that dental work can be more expensive than medical stuff sometimes. But everything is expensive nowadays. Got to hang out with a friend and have lunch today, that's always nice. My blender came in today in a box that's twice as big as the box the blender was in. I've already tried it out and it works great, the brand is an Oster. Good stuff, now I can blend up my fruits and even make things like salsa with it, so that's cool. Gonna find a recipe book for the blender. Well, I guess I should go on and get to it!
MCU Day! Here is a pretty cool rumor about a phase 4 show coming, it's S.W.O.R.D., or Sentient World Observation and Response Department. This is something from the comics that is now coming to the big screen. In the comics Sword acts as a lookout for cosmic threats to Earth, it is a huge battle station set up in space and is going to be manned by Samuel Jackson's version of Nick Fury. Who else might be there in the show? It is rumored that most of the cast of Shield will be coming back to reprise their roles. I would really like this and think it can move a lot of things for the MCU as a whole, whether that be in TV or movies. This could open up a whole lot of possibilities for the movies going forward and that's what I would like it to do. Since they spend so much money on these episodes then maybe we can have a few cameo appearances from characters from the movie universe, since they are all connected. The first person that started out on a TV show and end up in a movie is Javis when he showed up for just a minute in Endgame. Here is a story about how much medical costs are in this country. There was a story I remember reading one time a while ago. There was this middle age guy that broke his hip while snowboarding and went to go see how much it would cost since he didn't have any insurance. He decided to do some research and decided on flying over to Spain to get his hip worked on. He got that hip replaced and rented out a flat in Madrid for one full year, later ran with the bulls and broke that same hip again. He got that fixed again and ended up flying home spending less money doing all that than he would have by getting it worked on in America. Says a lot about how expensive it is to get anything done medically in this country. When I was in the hospital on the vent my parents had gotten an itemized statement of everything that was done to me. It was a very big file because it recorded every time that they gave me anything. The total price was just over $875,000. Luckily I had good health insurance at that time and parents that really paid attention to that stuff.
As I have said before, I'm a life long fan of the Kansas City Chiefs but something almost happened on Sunday were something bad would have happened, luckily it didn't happen. Somehow the Chiefs equipment bags ended up in New Jersey because of a loading problem and if they didn't get their stuff to Gillette Stadium, they were playing the New England Patriots in Foxboro, they would have to forfeit the game. There has never been a game that ended in a forfeit in the NFL so this would have been pretty historic. The Chiefs won the game so I'm sure New England would have taken the forfeit but it wasn't in the cards. The team actually had a back-up plan if the helmets didn't arrive back in time, they were to use the helmets of a high school football team whose logo is similar to the Chiefs logo. That would have been pretty neat and I'm sure the kids for that high school would think that was pretty cool and they would want to know who wore their helmet. I know I would.
