Good Day, Snoke Comic, Reparations, Oil Exporter

Hey there all, I hope your Monday is going great!  My day has been good, had an appointment this morning with my pain guy and then worked out.  Had a good workout, it was bi's and tri's today, always wear my triceps out when working those.  When I got back home I rolled over to the office to put in a maintenance request, it is 1/3 of a mile there so I rolled a total of 2/3 of a mile.  There are some pretty good hills between here and there.  It wore me out but I wasn't able to take a nap, oh well, that happens to me a lot.  My back has really been hurting a lot lately, not sure why, I am doing some different back things at the gym hoping to help it out but it seems to make it worse.  That's fine, so let me go get to it!

Star Wars Day!  Probably the two most mysteryous characters in Star Wars are Yoda and Snoke and it seems like we might be getting some info on them in a comic that ties in to the movies.  I have been wanting to know a lot about Yoda, especially what kind of alien is he and what planet does he come from.  I don't really think that the comic will delve into Yoda's backstory but I can always hope.  To find out about Snoke would be pretty cool as well.  I have been wondering a whole lot about him since he showed up in The Force Awakens.  It'll be fun to read those comics but they won't come out until September so we have a little while.  Here is an article on this; https://movieweb.com/star-wars-age-of-resistance-book-yoda-snoke-connection/

Right now Congress is talking about something I never really thought would actually come to being discussed in Congress, reperations for slavery.  They are going to study how to do this and I think it would be much harder to look into than they think.  What I think they would need to do is look back into every white persons family history to see if anyone in the family ever owned slaves.  Plus they will need to look back into every black persons family to see if anyone in the family was a slave.  That is what I think would be needed but I am probably wrong.  Also, there are many black voices talking out about this.  The ones I like are the ones that say that you cannot call me a victim without my permission or how wrong something like this is.  Of course there are some out there that like this proposal but I am not sure they thought everything through.  Some have said that slavery is the original sin of America and our founding but that they think we tried hard to pay for that through fighting the Civil War.  I, for one, do not want to be called a victim because I am, as some would put it, poor and that is what people like Cory Booker are trying to do to Americans of all races.  I hope that H.R. 40 does not go any further.  Please, let me know what you all think about this.  Here is an article about this to make up your own minds; https://www.cbsnews.com/news/slavery-reparations-hearing-house-committee-lawmakers-debate-bill-today-2019-06-19/

One quick thing I want to talk about concerning Iran that I think a lot of people have lost sight of, we do not get any oil from Iran.  America is now a net exporter of oil, we do not have to rely on any other country right now and that feels good.  Feels good that we are selling oil now more than we import it, that's always nice.  So why are we protecting the Strait of Hormuz, where most of the oil from the Middle East travels through.  China and India and other countries use that oil, not us, so why don't we leave that area to someone else to patrol.  Just a thought.

Well, that's all for me tonight.  I really hope that you all have a great day or night, take care!
