Good Day, The Rise of Skywalker, Crazy Stuff, Expensive Porn, Burning Down

Hey there, hope your Monday is great!  My day was good, I made it to the gym and did a mostly shoulder workout but did do some other things.  My left shoulder was acting up a little again so I thought I would try to use the bands for a lot of my shoulder.  With the bands I can do things a little easier and can workout those small muscles that will help keep my shoulder feeling good.  I didn't do a whole much else, I wanted to do some writing but when I got home I went to lay down in bed and fell asleep for a little bit.  It felt good but after I woke up I felt even more tired, at least for about an hour after getting up.  Almost like I wanted to get back in bed and go to sleep again.  It was beautiful outside today, so much different from this weekend where it was a little cooler.  I think the highs this weekend was 57 and 55 and it was pretty cool at night getting down to below freezing.  There was even snow on my van after I woke up on Sunday.  Winter just doesn't want to leave.  Well, let me get to it!

Star Wars Day!  Star Wars Celebration just wrapped up in Chicago and there was a lot of stuff that was unveiled, an Episode IX teaser, the title for Episode IX, news on the Mandalorian and a teaser for that and a lot of other stuff and media.  I really liked the teaser for the new movie which will be titled The Rise of Skywalker.  What this title means is anyone's guess, I really don't know either but it is interesting, however you slice it.  The first thing I thought of and noticed was the use of the R word for the first real word of the title, Rise.  It harkens back to Return and Revenge of the other third installments from before.  Also there is the The which has gone first in all the other titles in the series, so at least they are staying on point.  So this might suggest that Rey is indeed a Skywalker, which a lot of people have thought from the very beginnings of the third trilogy.  She is obviously going to be the focus of the movie and the only other real Skywalker in the movie is the other focus, we got that part but are they going to go into her backstory much at all.  If they do then this needs to be a longer movie and I would be fine with that.  I also thought that because of this title that the next saga films will have to do with Rey as a Skywalker.  At least that is what I think will happen next.  One thing we do know now is that Lucasfilm will be taking some time off from the saga films after this one and focus more on the TV side of things with the Mandalorian and other series.  No movies for awhile, which I think is a good thing.  I think it will only be about two years before they announce another direction to go in, whether that will be continuing the story of Rey or something else.  We do know that the writers for Game of Thrones are working on a trilogy that will have to do with the old republic time period but we have not gotten any news on that yet.  Plus, Rian Johnson is still working on the trilogy that he was given a few years ago and we have no info on that one yet either.  So this is an exciting time for Star Wars, it is the future.  Here is an article trying to break down the title; https://www.hypable.com/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-meaning-episode-ix-title/

I am sure that some of you have heard about this story, a man in Minnesota Mall of America throws a young boy, 5, from third floor balcony.  Now first off I thought the news story said it was his son but I don't think that was the case.  Second, what is wrong with someone doing this and then running away like a coward.  What was the point?  After reading the article I will put on after this it seems that the man has a bad history with the mall and was banned many times.  He has even thrown something else, but hopefully not a human, from the third floor before.  I am thinking there is something wrong with the guy, a mental health problem.  I just hope the boy is doing better and it sounds like he is.  But here is that article and there is a link to the GoFund me page that was set up for him if you would like to give; https://www.yahoo.com/news/boy-thrown-nearly-40-feet-153512934.html

This is a little story out of Indiana about a man who is suing his parents for destroying his porn collection.  The man says that the collection was worth over $29,000.  My question is, why did you have it, I would sell that stuff to be able to move out of my parents house.  Apparently this man is 40 years old and I think he has a problem and his dad did do him a favor by destroying his porn stuff.  I mean, people are allowed to like whatever they want, that is freedom but I would hope that someone would be more responsible with their likes.  Now he says that his stuff was worth $29,000, another question would be, did that collection cost him that much money or did he have it valued at that?  Did he have some films that were worth more, did he have autographs of things?  But the thing is, he is suing his parents for $87,000 which is obviously much more than what he valued the collection at.  Last question, why did he leave shipping his stuff to his parents and why didn't he take it with him when he moved?  Some people I guess.  Well, here is the article and think what you want; https://kvoa.com/news/2019/04/14/man-sues-parents-over-lost-pornography-collection/

Here is something that happened today, Notre Dame cathedral burned but hopefully not all the way down.  The spire burned all the way down which is a shame because this was one of the finest examples of medieval architecture.  As a history fan I am very saddened by this news, we have lost so many priceless buildings and other historical items in the last few years and this one was just as bad as the ones we have lost in Syria.  The ones we have lost in Syria were done by religious zealots and idiots, this one in Paris was an accident that happened while the building was being worked on.  Thankfully there were not any deaths reported.  There has already been a notable French billionaire that has pledged money to help rebuild, which is very good.  Here is an article on this; https://www.cbsnews.com/live-news/notre-dame-cathedral-fire-paris-collapse-live-updates-today-2019-04-15/

Well, that is it for me today.  I hope all of you have a great day or night, take care!
