Good Day, Hopefully Wrong Title, Dumb AOC Again, MMT, Creepy Joe, Border Stuff

Hey there all, I hope things are going great today!  My day has been pretty good, I woke up a little earlier today at around 8:45, that's a little progress I guess.  I did make it to the gym today and I have to say that I love the changes to my body I am seeing.  Of course there is a little work to do to look as good as I like.  Of course eating better would help get there a little quicker but I refuse to eat more healthy.  First eating healthy does cost a little more and I don't like the taste of "healthy" type foods.  I mean, I know what I would need to do to eat healthier but I just don't do it.  Also, prepping or making things suck since getting in the wheelchair and that's why I don't really like to cook even though I am a pretty good cook.  So I will just work my ass off at the gym to get to where I want and plus I need to gain weight anyway.  I know that I cannot get addicted to anything since my body doesn't produce adrenaline but I am hooked on something, a peanut butter shake at Sonic, those things are delicious.  I love peanut butter and eat a lot of Reese products and I love peanut butter M&M's.  So anyway, let me go on and get to it!

Star Wars Day!  There was a "leak" that came out in the last few days about the title and I really hope that this is not the title as it is very short and doesn't fit what Star Wars has been doing the last few movies.  The "leaked" title was Star Wars: Skywalkers.  That is very anti-climactic and just doesn't sound good or fit at all.  A lot of Star Wars sites are confused about this and not sure what to do with it.  We all think that Ben and Leia are the last two Skywalkers in the universe but there has been rumors that Rey could still be a Skywalker.  If that is the case then J.J. will need to do something else with her parents than what Rian Johnson did in Episode VIII.  After watching The Force Awakens I made the assumption that Rey was somehow the granddaughter of Obi Wan or related to Kenobi in some way.  If she is a Skywalker then it means that she is not related in any way to Kenobi but I can live with that as long as they do a good job of explaining it.  This movie then would need to be a little longer then, like close to three hours long, which I do not have any problem with as long as the story supports it.  If they do make he a Skywalker then I think they need to spend more than 20 minutes explaining it and trying to get it to where it works.  This movie seems like it is going to have so much going on in it that it almost needs to be made into a two parter.  I mean, they may have to explain if Rey is a Skywalker and that could take some time and some other things that are rumored to be a part of this movie and they need to spend a little time on; the Knights of Ren and what they were doing during Episode VIII, the backstory of Snoke needs to be deeply told and the final match-up of Rey and Kylo Ren, among other things.  Guess we will see what happens in December, here is an article about that "leak"; https://dorksideoftheforce.com/2019/04/01/star-wars-episode-ix-rumor-title/

Not sure if you all caught this but that walking joke, AOC, did some kind of interview like townhall thing recently and she made a really dumb slip up.  She was talking about one of the more trying times of her party which was during the Franklin Roosevelt presidency and she said that the republicans had to amend the constitution to kick him out of office.  She is referring to the 22nd amendment which limits a person to how many terms that they can serve as president, not an amendment to kick President Roosevelt out of office.  I can kind of understand this slip up a little bit but not the way she delivered it, she seemed so sure of herself thinking that the republicans are just so evil for kicking a man out of the White House.  This amendment was passed in 1947 and was put into place because people were worried about someone running for the office almost indefinitely and we wanted to avoid having a king or queen.  The die was cast by the first president George Washington when he was in office for 2 terms and that set the tone for people seeking the highest office in the land.  A monarch was the biggest fear of the new country and we just hoped that no person would run for more than two terms.  The first person to try for a third term was Ulysses S. Grant in 1870 and then the first Roosevelt ran for a third term in 1912 as an independent.  I am going to link two articles to this, the first deals with the gaffe AOC made the other day and the second deals with the 22nd amendment; https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2019/04/01/aoc-republicans-amended-the-constitution-so-fdr-couldnt-run-again-or-something-n2544079https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/fdrs-third-term-decision-and-the-22nd-amendment

Something I ran across yesterday was an economic theory that I had never heard about, not that I know about all the economic theories out there or anything.  It is called MMT or Modern Monetary Theory and is kind of cool to read about.  Now I only took one economics class in college and only remember a few things from it as it was probably about 10 years ago but I knew enough to understand some of this stuff and is pretty interesting.  I won't speak a lot on it but will find a good webpage that speaks about it and hopefully you can understand it.  After reading it do you think this is something we as a country should work towards?  If you want to talk about this then message me anytime and we can talk it over.  Now on Youtube I found quite a few different videos that help tell you what MMT is and some of them are pretty long but I won't one on here that isn't very long but tells you what it is.  From everything I have read or watched about MMT is that like a lot of ideas, they seem great in theory but in practice they don't work quite as well.  So on paper this looks like a great thing but as one guy says in the video, 'you can't drink yourself sober'.  Basically that you cannot spend yourself to get prosperous.  So here you go, I will include a video and an article, enjoy; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjZUpt6z-e4https://www.economist.com/finance-and-economics/2019/03/14/is-modern-monetary-theory-nutty-or-essential

So, I don't think it's really surprising that Joe Biden is a dirty old man.  Recently he has been accused by two women that he acted inappropriately with them.  They are accusing him of touching them and just acting strange and making them feel uncomfortable.  Now it needs to be said that he isn't being charged with sexual abuse or anything, just being a little creepy.  I mean, the guy is older than dirt and a lot of guys are like that when they get older even though some do it all throughout life.  Now there have been accussations from women from years ago that he acted wrongly around them.  I guess the real test will be to see how the democratic party reacts to these events.  Here is an article; https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/01/politics/who-is-lucy-flores-biden-accuser-former-nevada-lawmaker/index.html

About the border and if it will be shut down, I said before that I don't believe he will actually shut it down since so much money goes through there but I now think he might actually do it.  But the question will be will President Trump shut it down but still allow commercial traffic to come through while keeping everything else out.  They now say that we could run out of avocados in a week if the border is shut down but I say, who cares.  I hate avocados anyway so it wouldn't be much of a loss to me at all.  I do agree with some pundits that say if President Trump does not do something serious at the border then he won't win re-election in 2020.  But of course that depends on if the democrats put up a real contender, not Bernie Sanders who is way to socialist.  I guess we will have to wait and see what he does, here is an article talking about the border; https://www.politico.com/story/2019/04/01/trump-border-republicans-1246922

Well, that is all for me tonight.  I hope all of you have a great night or day, take care!
