Alright Day, Trailer Talk, A Wage for Drivers?, 2020 Runners, More Legal Weed

Hey there everyone, I hope you all are doing great today!  So my day, it was alright, nothing great happened today so it was just alright.  I almost didn't write this tonight, at the last minute I decided I would because I needed to do something productive today and I felt like I needed to get something out.  So, here I am.  Just woke up a little down today and really didn't do much, I did have an appointment with my urologist today that went well.  I had an ultrasound before the appointment to look at my kidneys and bladder, everything checked out OK.  Just a little while ago I had a small brain fart though, I was cooking some mac and cheese on the stove, I don't know why but I forgot to drain the water from the noodles and then mix the rest up and I just put the milk, the butter and seasoning pack in without draining it.  Well, I had to redo that and it didn't really turn out that well.  I normally buy the little cups of mac and cheese but making it on the stove is so much better.  Oh well, we all mess up sometimes.  So, let me get into it!

Marvel Day!  It looks like the trailer for Avengers 4 will be out on Friday morning, probably released on the ABC morning show and will hit the inter-webs shortly afterwards.  This movie honestly doesn't even need a trailer, I think, because the hype around it is so high after Infinity War.  Also, we will be, more than likely, learning the name of Avengers 4 when that trailer comes out.  I have put forth one name since the end of Infinity War and that is Endgame.  Now I am not so sure about that name but I am sticking to it but I do think they are going with a different name, maybe something like Annihilation.  But if they use Annihilation I would think they would need to use Annihulus in it, who is normally a Fantastic Four baddie but there was a comic series named Avengers: Annihilation before.  Just not sure how that can work exactly since he is with the Fantastic Four and not sure when everything gets done with Fox.  I would like to see something about the FF or the X-Men at least in an end credit scene or maybe even a cameo in the movie.  This movie is supposed to be longer, from what we have heard about the first cut sent to the higher ups at Disney that it is over 3 hours long.  Like I said before, I have no problem with the length as long as the story supports it.  I guess we will have to wait until Friday to learn more, I will write about the trailer if it comes out before the usual blog time for me.

New York, that's just a crazy city that I do not think I could live there.  I have read this article but am still not really sure how this works.  It appears that Uber and Lyft drivers in the largest city in America are getting a $5 dollar raise and I am still confused about it.  I mean, Uber and Lyft are private companies, who is paying the extra 5 bucks, is it the company or is it the city?  Maybe I didn't read the article well enough but also, why are they getting a raise?  What factors determines who gets a raise when you are a driver for one of these services?  It says that the drivers should be paid a living wage but Uber and Lyft are not regular 9-5 jobs like working in a restaurant or something.  Plus, as a driver, we get to keep all of our tips, there is nobody to split with.  This is just confusing to me, it's hurting my head, maybe you can figure it out, here is the article; https://www.vox.com/2018/12/5/18127208/new-york-uber-lyft-minimum-wage

Next story, the crowded 2020 democratic presidential field.  It started to widdle down a little within 24 hours, two people dropped out already, Deval Patrick, who is the governor of Massachusetts and that creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti.  First off, I do not think that either man had a shot at winning the primary to become the democratic representative to run for president.  Especially not if that witch Hilary Clinton runs again like she says she will, she will just steal the primary like she did last time from Bernie Sanders.  One man did come out recently and say that he was the most qualified man in the country to run for president, Joe Biden, that just smacks of elitism and makes me not like him even more.  Plus, he is too old.  He is 76 right now and would be 78 or so by election day in 2020, we don't need someone that old in the white house running things.  So if he is the democratic candidate that wins the primary, then I guess I will vote for someone else, maybe a write in candidate.  Here is an article on it; https://www.politico.com/story/2018/12/05/democrats-2020-election-1046056

Just ran across something that may be helpful for people here in Missouri.  A state lawmaker is putting forth a bill to make marijuana legal to grow, possess and consume in Missouri, a law that is similar to the ones in Washington D.C. and Vermont.  From what the bill says, it would not be sold at retail shops but you will be able to grow your own weed.  I am sure that would make a lot of people very happy here.  Of course the goal is to sell it and tax it like you do liquor and cigarettes.  But this would be a good step in that direction, what do you all think?  Here is that article; https://www.marijuanamoment.net/missouri-lawmaker-files-marijuana-legalization-bill-after-voters-approve-medical-cannabis/

Well, that is all for me tonight.  I hope that all of you have a great day or night, take care!
