The Room, Escape From West Germany, Violence in Virginia

Hi there, I am back for tonight.  Not sure if any of you read my report on watching The Room, a 2003 movie made by Tommy Wiseau.  It was probably the worst movie ever released, the acting was God awful, no emotion even though it is apparent that this is supposed to be an emotional drama.  I will admit that there was a good twist on the so called plot of the movie but that does not make up for the laziness that the rest of the cast displays in the entire movie.  The only character who showed any emotion at all was the mother, a bit part to the whole movie.  Somehow, we still do not know where, but the budget for the movie was 6 million, we are not aware of where Tommy Wiseau had gotten the money to pay for this.  He really is a mystery or an enigma.  He has an accent that is very hard to pinpoint, it has some French, Austrian, Swiss and maybe a little Russian.  He has not stated where he is from, saying that he is from New Orleans, but I have never heard anyone from New Orleans that sounded close to him.  There were quite a few sex scenes in the movie as well which were acted by the cast about as much as a cucumber can act.  Total crap, I would not recommend it.

I read a really cool article or story on Listverse, which is one of my favorite websites out there.  It was about 10, because this is a top 10 list site, about people that escaped East Germany.  It is so good to hear about people that were able to make it over because the media would only focus on the people that were not able to make it.  Our media today is so focused on negative things.  When was the last time that you watched a national news channel like CNN, MSNBC or Fox have they ran 20 minutes of positive news for more than once per day?  Local news will run some positive stuff every broadcast.  For a 30 minute show they maybe spend 8 minutes or so on something positive.  That is a lot better than the national guys.

So, about this stuff that happened yesterday in Virginia with the white supremacists.  It was terrible that one woman died from the idiot that ran into a crowd with his car.  Now people are blaming the president for the atrocities that happened yesterday.  In this country it is in our Constitution it is perfectly legal to assemble and protest peacefully but these groups that wanted to get together yesterday are groups that preach hatred, violence and bigotry so it may have been better to stop them but the president would not have been able to step in to stop the groups from getting together because then he would then have to stop every group from getting together.  It would set a very bad precedent for the future.  So I do not know how it is his fault, if anyone can tell me why without getting very stupid about things then I will listen.

Well, that is all for tonight.  I hope all of you have a great night or day, take care!
