More Snow, He's a Bad Man, Big Shakings, More Places, New Head Honcho

Hello everyone, hope your Tuesday is going great!  Hey, my day was good.  Didn't do much today but that was mostly cause the weather was really crappy here.  I woke up this morning and noticed it had snowed sometime in the early morning hours.  I also noticied that it was almost 40 degrees out and that snow wasn't going to stick around for much.  So it's just enough to make everything a mess, like I really need to was my vehicle but just haven't been able to cause of the weather.  So I did make it to the gym today and focused mostly on biceps and back with a little chest thrown in.  So, if I'm going to make each little post in here shorter then I guess I need to start!

History Day!  I'm going to tell the story of a real American badass named Carlos Hathcock.  He was a Marine sniper during the Vietnam War and he had 93 confirmed kills but he estimates that the number is much higher around 300-400 and from reading his exploits I believe that he did have that many kills.  During the war he made one of the toughest shots to ever make, he killed a fellow sniper by placing his bullet through the other mans rifle scope.  That's way more than a 1 in a million shot, not very many people out there could make that shot with the tech they had back in the 60's.  I'm sure there are more than a few that can do it with the tech we have now though and America employs some of the best snipers in the world along with the UK.  He lived an incredible life and will be remembered by generations of men to come, especially those that take up becoming a sniper in the military, he is a legend.  His health got a lot worse after Vietnam, coming down with MS at one point but was able to overcome that but sadly passed in 1999.  If you find this interesting then please go read some of his reports or his biography as they are great reads into a man who was a real living hero for people all across this country.  Here is a small sample of this mans life; https://allthatsinteresting.com/carlos-hathcock

Yesterday I had read about a small earthquake down in the boothill of Missouri at New Madrid, if you did not already know, the biggest earthquake in American history struck that area in 1812.  This quake was so powerful that it made the mighty Mississippi river run backwards for a few hours, rang church bells in Philadelphia and could be felt as far away as Boston.  Back then, over 100 years ago, the country wasn't as populated and didn't have near as much infrastructue so not as much got tore up but if a quake as strong as that one hit today you are talking about widespread destruction.  Probably the worst ever seen in the world, more than likely you are talking about hundreds of billions of dollars in damage if not more.  Think of the major cities that are just about 500 miles from that area, you have Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Nashville, Chicago and Little Rock, and those are just the larger ones.  Missouri has a lot of places where the population is less than 1,000 and many smaller than 100.  And there really isn't much you can do to prepare for an earthquake, not really any warning that can be given, at least not much and it's hard to make buildings earthquake proof mainly because it isn't cost productive.  So anyway, here is a webpage that talks about the recent quakes in the area; earthquaketrack.com/us-mo-new-madrid/recent

There are now 37 countries that have known cases of the coronavirus in them and one of the most worrying is in Italy, which has the most cases for any European country.  I say it's bad there since people can pretty much freely move throughout the European continent.  Iran is another troubling case, it's only 59 reported cases but that real  number could be higher, we are talking about Iran here who isn't always truthful.  They have already had 15 deaths in the country and now I've seen somewhere were the deputy health minister for Iran has it.  When your almost top guy gets it then I think that means you should start taking this more seriously.  I hope Iran and other countries really start taking this more seriously, here is an article on it; https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/feb/25/irans-deputy-health-minister-i-have-coronavirus

So there is a new head at Disney, his name is Bob Chapek, who previously headed up the various parks and resorts.  It's going to be hard to top what Bob Iger did with Disney but I don't think they want him to outshine Iger but to manage what he has brought to Disney in the last how ever many years he was at the head.  Disney has gotten a lot of new toys over the last 15 or so years with Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and now Fox.  That will be difficult for anyone person but I'm holding out hope that Chapek will do well.  So, here is an article on that; https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/25/media/bob-chapek-bio-disney/index.html

Well guys, I'm really tired so I'm going to end this nowl  I really hope that all of you have a great night or day, take care!

I just heard on TV that there is 80 case's of that flu, or they said they were watching them closely. The sniper guy was very good at what he did. A little snow here but its about all gone now. I don't think I had seen anything on TV or read anything about the earth quakes but then our news paper is about 4 or5 five pages twice a week. Good job Steven...
