Boring Day, Sony Universe, Bringing in the Big Guns, Stupid Socialist
Hello all, I hope your Thursday is great! So my day, it has been pretty boring but I like that sometimes. Didn't have to get out today and so I stayed home, did just a little writing and did some picking up around the place. Well, I found out about getting new tires for the wheelchair. I thought I would try and go through DW Auto, who also does home mobility, this is where I got my wheelchair from. I was thinking that I might be able to get a good deal through here, they tried to take it through insurance and of course Medicare was unhelpful as usual, so I will have to pay out of pocket. The problem with that, at DW Auto they want $400 for a set of tires, that is ridiculous. I could buy three sets through the bike shop I normally go to, they charge around $130 or so. That is why this country has such crappy healthcare and bad insurance, because of things like this. If any product says medical on it, then people think they can raise the price by a few hundred dollars. So I will need to get them from the bike shop, only problem with that is I will be short on money this month but I am sure I will find a way to make it. My parents are wonderful and have helped me before with stuff like this, I'm sure they will kick in for their only child. So anyway, let me get into some stuff.
As some of you are aware, Sony wants to really work with Marvel because they have seen how lucrative this Spider Man deal is and want to continue with the other characters from that universe. Sony wants to make a Silver and Black movie, they are talking about a Morbius and Kraven solo movies soon. It is pretty crazy and Sony has even given a name to the universe they are building around Spider Man, called Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters or SUMC for short. I am not totally sold on that name, I would have went with something like the Venomverse or something similar. As you have seen in other places, you do not want to make this complicated, usually the easiest solution is the way to go in marketing the movie universe, not over the top like Michael Bay did with Transformers. I think the Transformers universe is going to reset soon, they need to and get a different director in there. So those are the plans for the Sony Spider Man universe after Venom, which comes out this October. Let me know what you all think. So it seems that there was a big meeting over at Disney and one of the subjects were, what to do with the Fantastic Four and X-Men when this merger goes through the government. I am sure it will go through just fine but like anything with the government, it takes a long time. Now, these types of deals do have a set time frame for when they need to be wrapped up by, so that's good. In this meeting the head of Disney, Bob Iger, was talking about what they were to do when the control turned over to Disney of Fox's assets. I think you bring the X-Men in through the quantum realm or that the use of all the stones together had dissrupted the natural order of things and has kicked off the mutant gene. Something like that I think would be a good way to introduce them. Also, with the Fantastic Four, who I will call FF from now on in this article, should be found in a different dimension and brought to this universe by the quantum realm or something similar. The streaming service that Disney is rolling out was in discussion at the meeting but that will not be ready for another year, at least. But it looks like Marvel is not going to let any more new movies come over to Netflix because of this, Ant Man and the Wasp is going to be the last movie added to Netflix. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us nerds, it is a great time to be alive.
As I have said before, I took one of those political quiz things to see where I leaned the most and I was a moderate with leanings towards conservative. So I do listen to some conservative voices in arena's like talk radio or internet news and one that I like that just became pretty big is Ben Shapiro. I think he has a lot of stances on issues that I side with as well. So I find it funny when Ben had come out recently and called out that Ocasio-Cortez, the not so smart socialist lady, that he would give her $10,000 to come debate him on his radio show. The article I read for this was actually pretty good, you should check it out, I will add it later. Overall, I do not think she will come on the show with Ben Shapiro, even though she has come out and said that conservatives do not want to talk to her about her ideology. I think that was a very bad move for her because a lot of people are going to take her up on that.
